Sony is letting select PlayStation 4 owners beta test the system’s upcoming firmware, version 2.50, according to some leaked emails sent out to PlayStation MVPs. The forthcoming update will supposedly bring with it the ability to put the PlayStation 4 into rest mode without shutting down games and applications.

Konami Confirms September 1st Release Date For Metal Gear Solid V

Konami has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be released on September 1st, 2015! The date was revealed earlier this week in a leaked video, but has now been confirmed by the Japanese games company. The game’s competitive multiplayer mode, Metal Gear Online, will also go online on the same date. (Yay!)
