Another day, another batch of bad layoff news. Apparently, Trion Worlds has had to undergo yet another round of layoffs, a new report confirms. This latest batch follows the layoffs in December, which had largely affected the Rift team. According to IGN, a source stated that it was “mostly Defiance support staff and dev staff” and “teams that provide generic responsibilities and services” who have been pink-slipped.

Gran Turismo 6 developer has PS4 edition “in mind for the future”
Gamers were a bit surprised recently when the announcement came down from Sony about the release of Gran Turismo 6 only coming for the PlayStation 3. Honestly, with the launch of the Playstation 4 being just around the corner (technically), why would Sony and Polyphony Digital do this? Well, not so fast, says Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi. GT6 could be heading to the Playstation 4 as well, although nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

Corsair H80i watercooler unit review
I was rebuilding my gaming rig recently and after I completed it, I was quite happy with the changes in the build itself, especially with my choice in chassis (See our BitFenix Shinobi XL chassis review.) However, with changes in your system build come noise levels that you may or may not have noticed before. In my case, my stock AMD CPU heatsink and fan was much more noticeable than before. At this point, even though the cooler had served me relatively well (even under overclocking), it was time to take a look at some of the better CPU cooling options out there.

Google hides Atari Breakout Easter egg in image search
Google is well-known for doing things like hiding little Easter eggs in their search engine over the years. For example, typing “do a barrel roll” into the Google search bar results in the web page doing a barrel roll, aka Starfox. The latest Easter egg discovered celebrates Google’s take on the classic Atari game, Breakout.
To initialize this little hidden gem of an Easter egg, one would simply do a Google Image Search for “Atari Breakout.” After this, the game will start, and you simply control the platform with your mouse to bounce the ball and destroy the pictures of, well, Breakout. After completing the initial level, the next level will generate using a different set of random pictures.

SteelSeries WoW MMO “Legendary Edition” gaming mouse review
I was wandering thorough Wal-Mart the other day, and I vaguely remembered that I needed a new mouse or trackball to replace my deteriorating Microsoft Optical Trackball (Yes, I know….Old!) While looking in the keyboard and mouse section, I came across an interesting little piece of kit, made by SteelSeries. These guys make some cool WoW-inspired gaming peripherals, and the World of Warcraft MMO gaming mouse certainly is no exception. The version I happened to pick up is the Legendary Edition, an interesting design that takes what has worked from the previous versions of the MMO gaming mouse and improves upon those prior efforts and concepts, hopefully with the end result of being a sturdier build and better overall product. It certainly is a far cry from your standard, bland trakcball or mouse, don’t you think?

BitFenix Shinobi XL Window Version Full Tower (White) Chassis Review
Hey folks. Been quite a while since I’ve done some reviews on hardware here at Gamer-Tech. But when the Shinobi XL chassis landed on my desk last month, I couldn’t really resist after taking some time to dig into the gear and have a in-depth look at it.
As far as BitFenix is concerned, they’ve been a company that has come up with really interesting case designs, such as the Colossus, Outlaw, Raider, Survivor, and of course, the Shinobi cases.
